Mini Interview |
|
| My first homebrew... | An all grain pale ale. I used good sanitation but bad yeast and ended up infected. |
| Homebrewing Story... | I brewed an amber lager and didn't like the outcome. I was going to pour it out but a club member asked me to donate it to a club function. It was well liked. |
| 3 favorite beers | German Bock Amber Lager Barley Wine |
| Why I homebrew... | I enjoy the whole experience, the aroma, the grain handling. I like good tasting beer and I'm my own worst critic. |
| Brewing Accomplishments | I've brewed a vast number of styles and big beers too. When brewing a style i usually follow the BJCP guidelines. I'm all grain all the way. I've brewed several barley wines. A good number of Dopplebocks, Maibocks, German Bocks, Schwartzbier. The style I have brewed the most by far is Amber Lager. I've brewed them in all kinds of recipe combinations. ...with all dark munich, 50/50, 60/40 etc munich and pilsner, all vienna, vienna with munich and vienna with pilsner. I find, for me, that including a substancial amount of pilsner makes a better amber lager. I utilize a conical fermenter and control temperature. |
