Description
An easy drinking yet tasty and satisfying beer. A recipe from a fellow homebrewer. EKG and Fuggles are interchangable. I usually have this fermented out and cleared it about 7-10 days, bottle carb and drink it young. It's great.

Recipe Details
Tasting Notes Layers of nice bready, biscuity and toasty malts with a smooth but noticable bitterness and hop character. A session beer that you can't go wrong with. Great color and a decent body for being a lighter beer.

Procedure This is based on 75% effeciency. Scale up keeping the percentages of the grain bill in mind and adjust for your process and effeciency. I brew smaller batches that get me about a case of beer in the end. 2.75 Gal Batch Size/Post Boil volume starting with 3.25 Gal Pre-Boil. Actual IBU is around 32 with the seperate bitterness calculator. The recipe IBU are not accurate from the recipe calculator here at Tastybrew. Use the seperate Bitterness Calculator and check for about 18 IBU from the 60 min and 13 IBU from the 15 minute addition. 1.25 Qts/Lb Of Grain. Mash at 150* For 60 min. Batch Sparge at 170* 10 Min. Be sure to carb this lightly. 1.5 Volumes of Co2 is per style, I just can't carb that low. 2-2.5 Volumes is ok, and what I shoot for. This actually seems best to enjoy drinking while its young.
