High Gravity Vanillia Porter. Modified version of Rogue's Blackened Brutal Bitter.

Tasting Notes Very Hoppy dark beer. Vanillia comes through well though. Smooth.

Procedure Combine grains with 22.5 qts of 169 deg F water for a 152 deg F single infusion mash for 60 minutes. Batch sparged with 4 gallons of 170 deg F water, collecting 7 gallons of wort. Add two vanillia beans split lengthwise after 7 days in fermenter. Add dry hops when transfering from primary to secondary fermenter. Fermented at 60 deg F. 3/4 cup rice sugar added to prime before bottling.
