Tasting Notes This is a really nice sessionable beer! My wife, myself and two other people easily knocked back 10 22oz bottles in an evening. I really didn't even age it 2 weeks and it was really good. Golden amber color, a little cloudy (maybe some irish mosh next time or just a little more age). Head is slightly tan and big although it doesn't stick around long. When I first tasted, about 1 week after bottling the hops were pretty sharp and forward. After a couple more days they had softened and provided the perfect bitterness to make the whole seem even more refreshing. Maltier and a little more full flavored than Anchor Steam with the brighter more piney/citrus notes you would expect with the cascade.

Procedure Steep grains until around 170 degrees in grain bag. bring to boil. Turn off heat and add malt extract. bring back to boil and add 1st hops. Boil 45 minutes and add 2nd hops. Boil 15 minutes and strain into 6.5 gal carboy with 2 gallons cold water with 3rd hops in strainer. top off with cold water and pitch. Goon vacation. Come back and bottle.
