08A. Koelsch And Altbier, Koelsch-Style Ale
Description
Lawnmower style, what Coors would taste like if it was really good and had noticable traces of hops and better mouthfeel, brewed for 2 friends that are working on my house all summer

Recipe Details
Tasting Notes Exactly what I wanted, low alcohol, very easy drinking, while still being flavorful and interesting, this beer goes very fast, I think I will start borrowing a friends pot for 10 gallon batches for this one and leave half of it in the secondary longer so I can stagger the kegging.

Procedure I boil 6 gallons of water, plus the extract, and use a chiller, this gets me very close to 5 gallons when I keg. Actual ingredients differ, I buy my supplies from Steinbarts in Portland, Oregon, I will describe the changes- TB says Light Malt Extract Syrup, I used Extra Light Malt Extract Syrup, TB says German Munich, I used German Light Munich, TB says Wheat Malt, I used German Wheat Light Malt, Last time I made this beer I left it in primary for nearly 2 weeks and then kegged it, it was good right away but noticably better (by me only) after 1 week in the keg, after which time it was totally consumed
