Tasting Notes like the Paulaner Salvator, but MUCH stronger.
Awards it certainly is worthy. some day when the world is ready, i'll enter it in a competition.
Boil Volume 3.00 gallons
Boil Time 60 minutes
Batch Size 5.80 gallons
Yeast wyeast #2206 Bavarian Lager (77% app. attenuation)
Primary Fermentation 6 days in plastic, 50-55 deg. F
Secondary Fermentation 21 days in glass, 45-48 deg. F
Other Fermentation 34 days in glass, 45-48 deg. F
Procedure mash grains in hop bags at 150 deg. F for 60 min, and then put them in a collander and collect the runoff and add it back to the wort. add 7 lbs of the amber malt extract and boil the hops. add 5 lbs after removing hops while the wort is still boiling hot. wait a couple mins before cooling. ferment for 6 days at 55 deg. F. add the other 4 lbs of extract dissolved in 1/2 gal. boiling water, cool and pitch into 6 gallon carboy the beer was racked into . 21 days in carboy and racked to new 6 gallon carboy for another 34 days. prost!
