Description
This is an ale for hopheads. It has 10oz of hops and is relatively light in the alcohol content for a IPA. This is also a great beer to brew with friends since they can be involved in the hop pitching portion of the boil.

Recipe Details
Tasting Notes This ale has a very floral hop nose. The bitterness comes more from the aftertaste rather than the initial taste. It has a nice light mouth-feel until the hop flavor hits, then it just sinks down right on your taste buds.

Procedure Steep the specialty grains in 160 degF water for 45 minutes, bring to a boil and add the extract. The hops are the key to the uniqueness of this boil. Mix all the types of hops together and weigh out 2, 2.5oz piles and save the other 5oz of hops. Add one 2.5oz pile to the boil for bittering. Then over the course of the hour boil, periodically add the 5oz. When there's 2min left in the boil, add the remaining 2.5oz for aroma. Optional is to add a 1/2oz to the fermenter to dry hop.
