Description
My first attempt at this style. Recipe is a variation based on Jamil's Dark Mild from Zymurgy, July/Aug. 2005. This is meant to be a quick and light-but-flavorful beer.

Procedure Single infusion mash at 154-158*F for 60 min. Use thick mash of 1 qt. water to 1 lb. grain. Mash out at 168*F and vorlauf for 10 minutes until clear. Sparge with 170*F water to collect 6.5 gallons. Pre-boil gravity: 1.028 SG (7.09 Plato.) Ferment at 67*F for a week, then keg and force carbonate.
