Other Fermentation
Procedure Steep or mini-mash 1 lb of Carafoam, add to kettle along with enough water to dissolve extract(stir until dissolved). Volume should be at least 3 gallons. Bring slowly to boil. When boil starts add 1 oz of Cascade, and I chose to continuously add Amarillo pellets to the boil leaving about an ounce for the last two minutes to flameout. Chilled wort and top off to 5 gallons - aeration via the 'two-bucket' technique. Pitch US-56 (no rehydration needed). 7 day in plastic/glass, 14 days in glass with 1 oz Cascade pellets. Very pleased with the results. Note the IBU's and OG may be high for the style - hey, that's how I like it! Hoppyness == Happiness
