Procedure Steep the 2LBS of 10L crystal in 3 gallons of water as close to 150 degrees as you can get it for 30 minutes.Remove grain bag and place in collander and gently pour another sauce pan of 150 degree water over it.Bring to boil and remove from heat.Carefully stir in malt extracts taking care to stir and not allow them to stick to the bottom.Return to burner and bring to a boil.Add Hallertau hops.Maintain vigorous boil and after 30 minutes add Saaz hops.After the boil is finished cool as quickly as possible,pitch yeast following yer best method.We used dry Muntons yeast rehydrated in warm water and stired after 15 minutes.Add cooled wort to fermentor and top off to 5 gallons.Pitch yeast at around 80 degrees.Cover and ferment.
