I had intended on going, but it sold out so fast. Next time I guess..

I got tickets for friday through the pre-sale. I havent been for about four years so I'm stoked.

I went once and that's it for me. For what it costs for tickets and to park, I'll choose my own bars and beer and not have to stand in long lines.

I can't beleive how fast it sold out this year. The price goes up every year now too it seems. What a bummer. I might have a free ticket but I doubt I'll fork out 70 bucks or more now that they're probably sold on craigslist or whatever. I hate that people can simply buy tickets and then gouge you for them when you could have just bought them at the normal cost.

Wasn't planning on it this year. Hopefully next year.

I'm going this year. I am hoping to meet and talk to Denny. Maybe I'll make enough of an impression that he will remember me.

Then it's a wasted trip, red, since I won't be there.

The problem was that I met dozens of people the same night I met Dan. I don't remember most of them. Remember, there was drinking involved and it was a very busy night.

Wasn't trying to "make an impression." In fact, I did the opposite. I didn't mention this place. I simply said hi and mentioned that I tried a couple of his beers. He was nice enough to explain how he used mushrooms in his scotch ale and then he went back to helping the massive line at his club's booth. I'm not offended or anything that he doesn't remember our brief conversation. Sheesh. Let's move on.

Nope. Too cheesy wearing a Utilikilt in Seattle for me. There were a ton of people wearing them though.

I've met people that I remembered, but I did my best to forget them and it worked. Maybe that's the case here.

Are people scalping tickets? I can't believe how fast it sold out this year.

Yeah, there's always been a lot of scalping and it's worse this year.

Yeah I expect to see some ridiculous prices but it can get out of hand. Really a bummer since it's so much fun. I can't justify 80+ bucks a ticket when there's better festivals around though. It's just that the GABF is like the granddady fest you know?

I'd love to go someday, but all my discretionary beer time and budget kinda gets eaten up by NHC.

Come to NCHF. It's a lot cheaper. And I'll even mention Tastybrew when I run into you. One of our club members hosts an epic potluck Friday night!
