I have managed to get some Simcoe Hops and I have decided to sell some of them. The price is $34/pound shipped inside the US. I have a number of pounds so just let me know how much you want.

I always thought that the "catty" smell was from Simcoe until I smelled Citra the other day. Does Simcoe have this smell as well?

Eric you might not want to start a vendor feud in here. You both could end up losing.

Hey dnfd737, how much are you charging for a pound of Citra? Now add shipping to that and what do you get? BB is right, you should be careful when throwing rocks. My price includes shipping.

Bobby that's not really what I meant.

There are rules here about advertising on Tastybrew. Some exceptions have been made to allow it for those that participate in the forum. It's not my decision, but if this argument got out of hand, those exceptions might be withdrawn. Personally, I'd hate to see that happen, because I'm always on the lookout for a good deal, but again, it's not up to me.

I wasn't looking to start a fight either. Since the price does include shipping I thought it was a decent deal. I am not a vendor in the sense that DNFD737 is, I am just selling these hops and that is it.

OOOPS!!!! My apologies.

I am a bit embarrased and I apologise.
Not to make light of this, I had wrecked my truck earlier in the day due to dogs running loose in my neighborhood , dealing with insurance and such and I was also taking part in many of my black IPA's at the time(when I posted not when driving my truck).
Blueraidergrad, I will send you an email.

My promiss to tastybrew:
I will refrain from posting while having beverages.

Could a mod please remove my post above?

Never saw your post, Eric, but as a frequent reader and infrequent poster, I appreciate your straight-up attitude and apology.

Eric and I have traded e-mails and I do appreciate his apology. I am in no way a vendor, I just happen to buy some Simcoe and I thought some folks here might want some. If anybody wants any just post here and we can figure out the details. If you guys don't want any then that is cool too. My LHBS is making money hand over fist by selling it for close to 3.50 an ounce.

Eric, I have some used kitty litter I can sell you. It's in pellet form.

FWIW, I've dealt with Bobby and he'll come through for you.

I am willing to sell it by the half-pound if necessary. It would be $20 for 1/2 pound. It is going to cost me the same to box and ship it. I would buy a full-pound if it was me, these hops are hard to come by and once I get rid of these hops it will be hard to get them for some time.

It was drunken displaced anger..........does not really matter what I said it was wrong to the 10th power, uncalled for and rude. Poor Forum if you will.

When you look at it $34 shipped is fair there are way worse deals out there for less demanded hops.

I find that the catty flavor is gratly reduced if they are tossed in as a late addition or used in low amounts in the dry hop. There are "cleaner" hops out there for sure though but I enjoy playing around with the american ones (insert jokes here...).

Catnip is a member of the mint family. I have made Mojitos with Catnip, and they were quite good. You can use it anywhere that you would use fresh mint.

I have decided that I just want my serving fridge back, so if anybody wants some Simcoe I will sell it for $24/lb plus shipping in a flat rate box.
