Just bought a sixer of this. "Noble Pilsner"
Absolutely the best tasting beer that I've brought home from the store in a long time.
It's got a traditional pilsner type body, and the finish reminds me of the smell of my house last September when I was drying my hops indoors.
It's brewed with all five varieties of Noble hops.
And again, Sam Adams did something right. An almost perfectly balanced beer.

I must agree. It was a surprise to me when I learned that there was a "Sam Adam's Pilsener" on tap at the local pub. After one sip I was instantly impressed with the beer. Very well done clean, smooth, hoppy, spring seasonal.

I have to disagree. I like most Sam Adams beers, but this one I don't. It has the weird ability to be both too sweet and too bitter at the same time. It tastes like an IPA to me, but with "noble hops". And, too much of some sweet malt. Sorry I can't be more descriptive, but there is something about this beer that doesn't do it for me.

I like Sam Adams as well. I haven't tried the pils, but I've always liked the Boston lager.

I had the Noble Pils a few weeks ago and I thought it was pretty good. The sports bar at our hotel was serving winter lager and when I ordered the next night I was informed that the spring seasonal had replaced it. At first, I thought it had an odd, almost minty, flavor which wasn't bad in any way, to me, just sort of unexpected.

I had this pils on tap and thought it was great. Troy you must be drinking some wimpy IPAs.

If you by chance throw a few bottles in a backback and go for a bike ride (peddle type) and forget about them then remember they're in the backpack a week later and put them in the fridge and open on later they taste like Heineken. Yes FAIL on my part. But the ones that didn't skunk tasted prety good. I felt it was like if someone decided to make Bud with flavor.

I'm looking forward to sampling some as a Bo Pils is my favorite style. They advertise not only the noble hops but Bohemian malt. That sold me on a try.

I really am enjoying the Noble Pils. I can taste the Saaz and Halletaur upfront with tettnang lingering in the finish. All around it's well-balanced.

Seen the commercials and had to try it myself. Really really liked it and it just made me want to get into lagering even more. It is definately more on the "light" side, but for a pilsner to have a nice balance hop profile like that, was definately a refreshing change from the Ale's that I pretty much have just been drinking.

I have a hard time finding a good pilsner. This one is a good beer and it gives me something to compare with my pilsners. By the way wy2247 makes a nice pilsners.
