Yo Gents!

Back in May in the "Michigan Beer and Brat Fest" thread I mentioned that I pass by MBC on my way to Pentwater for family reunion vacation and you graciously offered to share a pint and give a tour of the brewery. I plan on stopping by at around 3PM tomorrow (July 9th) afternoon and would love to take you up on that offer, if you guys are available. I'll be stopping by regardless to replace a shirt I lost and pick up some brew so if you're otherwise occupied, it won't be a wasted pit stop, that's for sure .

I will be down at Ford most of the day in meetings. I hope to get back in the afternoon but not sure when. MrC is going to be there I'm sure. Ask Daniel at things BEER to go get MrCoffee and have him call me on my cell when you get there. He is busy working with the brewery as MBC is kicking up its volume big time now and pretty much brewing or bottling every day now.Also ask him to introduce you to 'Junior' and his special 'root beer'.

Also, if you made it a little later, like 4ish I would be better able to walk out to go over there. Its only across the industrial park from me.

I will for sure be working, so I can do my best to make myself available. As TimO said we are doing alot of production, we are bottling IPA tommorow, pasteurizing Grand Cru, and brewing atleast 60BBL (probably 120BBL). Like said, just have whoever is working ThingsBEER come get me, it'll probably be Daniel, I'll be near by and if I see them come back with someone I'll go 'hey, thats probably John!'.

Always willing to show a fellow TB'er around and buy you a pint, although I probably wont be able to drink until later. I'll try to keep you occupied till later so TimO can show up. ;D

TimO, we may still yet cross paths; I'm on vacation and not in a hurry, which is a good thing because I'm dragging along 3 teenage boys with me (though I get the feeling they shouldn't be sampling that root beer ). Have a good day at Ford, I hope it goes well. 120BBl, now that's what I call brewing!

Well, John made it and it was, if nothing else, short. I couldn't stay long but can say we've met and had a beer together.....even a stout/raspberry Celis mix that John couldn't put down.

TimO and MrC., thanks again for graciously sharing your time, the tour, and especially for the tasting . MBC is a first-rate facility with an exceptional selection of brew on tap in the bar area; I would highly recommend a visit if anyone is passing by on I-96 SE of Lansing, MI - it is just off the freeway with signage pointing the way.

Bud - that is MrCoffee wearing the Amnesia shirt, I'm the vertically challenged one in the middle with the home-town East End Brewing T-shirt (read: yes, I'm from PA, Pittsburgh area).
