Hi everyone,
I am sorry for possible offtopic, but I need your help in find new web hosting provider as soon as possible, because my current host (bluehost.com) is kicking me off, they say 'your account is using a lot server resources', but my website gets only about 200 visitors per day and my disk usage is 1500 MB (maybe they do not like that?)

Anyway, what would be your recommendations for getting reliable web hosting? Where are you hosting your websites? Are you happy with your providers?

I am now checking http://www.hosting24.com/ - offer looks very nice, but is it real that they can provide unlimited disk space?
I have contacted them about this question and they say something that "These days 500GB disk drive costs only $30 per month, so if some day we will run out of disk space we will simply add new 500GB disk drive with almost zero costs and you can continue uploading without any problems".

What do you think about it? Maybe things have changed in last 4 years? With my current provider I get only 2GB of disk space for $10 per month..
Any ideas and suggestions are much appreciated.

I would try and figure out exactly what they have a problem with. Typically the biggest problems in a shared environment is CPU, memory, or bandwidth usage. If you have something that's taking a lot of CPU, memory, or bandwidth they are going to boot you pretty quickly. If they can't deal with 1.5 Gigs of stored data then it's time for a new host regardless.

Hosting24's answer to your question should be enough to eliminate them. Anyone in an enterprise environment will tell you that proper disk space is expensive. Sure, a single consumer level drive is cheap but that's somewhat irrelevant. A proper host would use server-level drives in some sort of fail-safe RAID as well as perform daily backups. "We'll just throw another drive in there" is not a good sign.

I would first recommend angryhosting.com; it simply doesn't get any better. If that doesn't work for you then I would suggest dreamhost.com

I've used www.webmasters.com/ for a few years now, and have been very happy. $10/mo for 100 GB space. Some friends use them for decently high traffic music-related sites and have had no problems.

Well well Mr. 0xyGen ... if that IS your real name ... you have failed. If anything, you have just helped the variety of other web hosts listed here.

I think for a one-time minor offense it is probably unnecessary. Unlikely we'll see another post if it is spam. We are victims of our altruistic desire to help, but we shouldn't get too irritated... After all it is the internet.

On another note, maybe Rob H. (if he does exist) could revamp the registration security and add an additional security code so bots cannot join the site and spam us.

If I go with them, I'll be going for the bottom of the line...something like the $4/month package. I don't need much, just a place to park the few web pages I've got.

Right on Denny,

I need the business package cause I make my money online.
The only thing is 2,500GB bandwidth is kinda small if your running a lot of sites from it.
I blew 1,500GB just last month, My pages are still growing.

But 250GB of space is awesome.

I'm currently with cleverdot.com and have there starter packages.
If you don't need a whole lot there uptimes are great.
I'm just out growing them.

I started using icdhost.com, they're good if you know what you're doing but if you like a host with automatic installrs for blogs, stores, and such than site5.com is pretty good. I had over 50 sites set up on Ipower b ut after they got bought out last summer they went downhill fast. It's a shame, two years ago they had unbelievable service.

No, I build'em. Some I design as well but I sub from other designers too. That's why I'm always posting so late at night, I'm still working. Mostly DB driven sites with easy updatability for the end user who usually has limited computer knowledge. I've done some custom ecommerce and membership management systems as well. Basically, any custom system that you could want for your site and have it actually look good.
